The parking area is off Rt. 70 in Lancaster, MA. You can take the Rt 70 exit off Rt. 2, then head South on rt 70 for a couple of miles, looking for the parking area on the western side of rt 70 (on your right if coming south on rt 70). The name of the trail area is Lancaster's Nashua River Greenway, and there is a sign with that name in the parking area.
You may run into a few dirt-bikers, but they were all very friendly and nice, and were very careful to slow their bikes and say hello when passing us. There were a couple of bikers riding thru the freezing Nashua River - in January! Needless to say, you should have some interesting sights along the hike. At one spot along the trail, you will see remnants of a bridge, including large stone pillars and retaining walls that are fun to explore.
