Whale Bay - not far off road.
Find a picnic table and enjoy the vista - we are very lucky and very proud in Northland.
Egg was between the table area and the main track down to the bay - but it hatched and flew away... didn't get far though - check GL by the tree to Left of table.
Rehide carefully and take care with the plastic bag - if this one gets away it might end up down the hill or out to sea...

If you’ve never been to Whale Bay then I can’t recommend it enough - is my favourite bay in Northland - Toilets are available down at Whale Bay.
