Geocache Description:

This cache is located in the Gaudineer Scenic Area and offers nearby virgin forests and scenic views.

To get in the vicinity of the cache, get on US Route 250 (also state rt 92) between Huttonsville and Durbin, WV. You will head north on FR 27 into the Gaudineer Scenic Area. At 1.8 miles the road forks, stay right (left is the picnic area). Another 8/10 mile on the right is an interpretive trail. There is another fork 2/10 mile, stay right. Then 2 miles more, there is an access road to the left (FR 27B). It runs approx. half a mile before ending where the road is blocked. Often the gate is locked, but there is room to park and walk to where the road ends. At the end of the road is a small wooden foot bridge. Go left and bushwhack up the hill.

The cache is on top of the ridge. It is placed under a fallen tree and is a Green plastic ammo box. Please seal the container and place it back properly, as this area receives substantial rainfall and snow.
