Oksebåsen er en husmannsplass fra ca 1750.
Plassen tilhørte hovedgården Vatnaland. I 1888 kjøpte Jørgen Danielsen, oldefaren til nåværende eier, husmannsplassen. Hans etterkommere bodde her frem til ca 1980.
Stedet eies fortsatt av Jørgensen slekten og blir brukt som fritidsbolig. Eiendommen er på 375 mål og har 2 km strandlinje. Det følger med eget laksesete til plassen som ble brukt aktivt frem til 2008.

Oksebåsen is a cottage from arount 1750.
The land belonged to the manor Vatnaland. In 1888 the place was bought by Jørgen Danielsen, the great oldfather of todays owner, the cottage. The family Jørgensen lived here until about 1980.
The land is still in the Jørgensen family, and are in use as much as possible during their hollydays.
There are 375 acers of land and about 2km of shoreline. There is also a fishing place for salmon that belongs to the land.
