This cache is named after a spot that bicyclists traveling around the Quabbin Reservoir can stop and rest. It also is a great spot to have a picnic while traveling past.
The cache location was an Eagle Scout project some years back. It was given the name Deer Valley Rest, the scout has long since grown and moved away but the spot lives on. Thanks to the gentleman Garlic farmer who now maintains this area. The cache is simple so you won’t be looking too hard for it. By the way if you’re lucky you might see Harry out in the field tending to his world famous Garlic patch!! As always enjoy the smiley.
