Geocache Description:

This cache is definitely best done on a bike! Especially on a warm day with a breeze from the ocean and clear skies, like when I hid it :). This is not your average letterbox hybrid, there is more of a challenge!

There are fees to get into the park. For CT vehicles, it's $13 weekends/holidays and $9 weekdays. Out of staters pay $22 weekends/holidays and $15 weekdays.

To find the cache, start at the given coordinates and RESET YOUR GPS ODOMETER. This is very important. Now start riding along the path towards the campground (Northwest direction) while checking your odometer every so often. The moment your odometer hits 0.88 miles, stop your bike and pull off to get out of the way of others. Now look at your current coordinates. Subtract .003 from N and add .035 to W to get the final location. You'll know you've stopped in the right spot when you see a sign that puts an end to your ride. If the coordinates are a bit funny after the math, use the hint.
Remember, always stay on the bike path, and never go on the road. If you ride on the road, you will get different numbers and be nowhere near the cache. (Proven!) The cache is a regular sized lock n lock with some duct tape camo, and along with the stamp that makes it a letterbox, there is also another distinct feature inside that makes it a "letterbox." See if you get it.

Difficulty is based on all the math involved as well as being in the precise location when doing the math. Terrain is based on if you ride your bike. The path is very flat for the most part, but there are many sandy patches where I have fishtailed with my front tire numerous times and almost fell, so be careful you bike riders. If you walk, the terrain would be around 1.5, but will take considerably more time. A bike can be the difference between a 5 minute journey or 20 minutes!
