Geocache Description:

You'll want to head towards Red Rock and take the exit for Calico Basin. The recommended route is to park near the Red Spring picnic area, just after the pavement ends, and hike up to the Red Spring picnic area and then follow the trail around the base of the hills. The area has changed in the last 10 years. There is a gravel parking lot closer to the cache today. Good hiking boots are recommended and lots of water during the summer months.

This is our first cache placement. We've placed it in an area not that far from Las Vegas and put some good stuff in there so hopefully it will get some traffic.

If you think you'll need to go over a hill to get to the cache, you aren't going in to the cache the recommended route. The last 1/2 mile or so towards the cache should be headed west
