The BIG cache
The series is still accessible!! Although Taylor Wimpey are building nearby there is still a route into the woods which are not being built on. The new path is to the side of the fencing. I have been assured by Taylor Wimpey that their work will not interfere with the caches in the area.
This is a BIG cache container with plenty of LARGE trades in it ie football, toy sword, jumbo bubble maker, big sand spade etc etc
It is hidden in a lovely set of woods used by lots of people but this one is off the beaten track. Depending on which way you access the cache it could be tricky or easy. If you’re adventurous go the explorers route. (straight line from the pathway) You may have to cross water to get to it and go through trees etc but it’s all good fun and not too bad. If you want an easier (but it isn’t too easy) route then follow the public foot paths as far as you can ;0)
I would really like to carry on the theme of BIG trades but if not then that’s okay. It is such a shame some themed caches lose their original themes but let’s all see what we can do.
As previously stated, the cache is a large metal container which I think was used to carry the ammo case we normally use for caching. It has holes predrilled into the bottom so the goodies are inside a black bag. Please post on your logs if it needs new bags etc.
The area can be a bit slippy in the wet as we found out when placing the cache hence the star rating it has been given.
At Ground Zero, if you have come in through the adventurers route continue up the bank to a weird place on the tree line. It is just a big square area of grass in the middle of the woods. It would be a great place for a family picnic as it is lovely and quiet.
