The Cabin Loop Trails, located between Blue Ridge Resevoir and the Mogollon Rim in Coconino National Forest, are trails that interlink a series of cabins used by forest rangers. The scenery is spectacular, and the trails are "relatively" level, with the exception of Barbershop Canyon, which is more of a gorge than a canyon.
I was backpacking the loop with Lucient the Magnificient and Superkato, and the U Bar Trail was badly in need of a cache. I elected to place it in Barbershop Canyon
The coordinates are jumpy due to the trees and canyon walls, so this description is particularly relevant: after descending into the canyon to the stream, hike eastwards until you reach a sharp 150 degree switchback, which is where I obtained GZ. If you continue another 30 feet straight ahead, instead of making the turn, you will end up at the base of these rocks, which is where your search begins.
