Grand View Point has some spectacular views
Nine miles from Big Bear on Forest Service Road (FSR)2N10. The FSR is dirt but in good shape. The altitude is approximately 7800 ft. The hiking component of this trip is only 1/4 mile long.
Once there, look to the east for a big rock with a split in the middle that looks like a butt crack. At the bottom of the crack are a bunch of pine needles. Dig through the pine needles and underneath you will find a blue stainless steel container. Please sign the log and let us know where you are from. Don't forget to take a picture of you with the cache and upload to geocaching.com. Please bury the cache again in same spot when done.
Thanks,

The trailhead can be either assessed by car or mtn. bike (we have done both). You will pass the "pine plantation" prior to reaching the trail head which is at the point where the 2N10 and 2N08 merge. From the parking/trail head to the cache is approxiamtely 1/4 mile of easy walking. Once you reach the top, Look for a rock formation to your left that looks like a giant butt crack. Digg through the pine needles to find the cache.
Upon leaving you may want to continue on 2N10 (4.5 miles to pavement - shorter but slightly rougher). Alternate Route: Hwy 38 to Moon Ridge Rd (head East) to Club View Drive (turns into a dirt road [East 2n10]). Rawbl gur ivrjf.
