Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
The MiGO Southeast Chapter has a good relationship with the
Huron-Clinton Metroparks. This CITO event is an effort for
geocachers to give back by helping collect seeds to reestablish
plant species in the park. Entrance to the park is free for
volunteers. Mention this at the booth when entering the park.
From the Metroparks
"Come lend nature a helping hand! Volunteers are needed to help
collect seeds from native grasses at the Kensington Metropark
Nature Center. The seeds we collect will be used in future prairie
restoration projects. All tools, as well as water and snacks, will
be provided. It is recommended that volunteers wear sturdy
closed-toe shoes and long pants. The workday will last from 1-4,
with a break halfway through. Volunteers should meet in the Nature
Center parking lot."
