Series of 20 caches along a 3.5 mile loop trail.
Park at Horse Creek Trailhead. The trail is clearly marked from the
Trailhead, along Scurvy Ridge trail to Horseshoe lane forest road
(closed), looping around with a short detour to the hitsi hut
(Indian hunting hut) and back to the starting point. A side loop
trail leads to Blue Horizon Loop. The trails traverse a mix of
older forest and replanted second or third growth woods in a
tranquil Coast Range setting. The 3.5 miles of trails offer several
points of interest along the way, including a replica of a classic
Siuslaw Indian hitsi cabin. The coordinates can be off a bit due to
tree cover, please use the hint.
