The Snakebite Trail was located in Meshomasic State Forest, parking is off of Clark Hill Road. The cache name comes from the fact that Meshomasic State Forest is the home of Connecticut's largest population of the Eastern Timber Rattlesnake, which has deadly venom and is one of the most dangerous animals in the northeast.
This cache is a tribute to the once great multi. It used to be the final stage.
The terrain rating will go up if you find yourself bitten by a snake. Other attributes worth noting are that you can bring mountain bikes or horses with you for this cache, I saw both while placing it.
