Geocache Description:

Yalca North Cemetery

Welcome to another Blacklegend cache, my 78th hide.
On venturing out this way for a few FTF's, I chanced upon this out of the way cemetery. A nice and quiet spot in a rural town. Yalca North, while i can find little information about it, is a small rural and farming town about 4kms west of Bearii, Victoria.

Up until 1969 Yalca North had a local football team in, as far as i can tell, the Picola league, but that team has since folded.

Below is an image from the front gate of the cemetery. I drove in after opening the gate, but the final hide is only a short walk, so it would be easiest to just park out the front and walk in.

I have been able to find some interesting images online from the Museum of Victoria. Worth a browse if you have the time. I would love to find what looks like the old church in one of the images.

To find the final cache, you wont have to go very far, and you will just need a little bit of info from the information headstone at the first waypoint.

THE PUZZLE...

A = 6th number of the 3rd line of text
B = 7th number on the 3rd line of text
C = 8th number of the 3rd line of text subtract 2
D = 5th number of the 3rd line of text

S 35° 53.2AB E 145° 17.7CD

That's about it folks, nice and easy. The reason i brought you to this headstone, is because it is the same as my surname.... No immediate family relation that i know of, but could be, Marsh is not a common surname really.

I have had to use a bit of "natural camo" i found onsite. Please be careful when removing and replacing the cache, and replace exactly as found to preserve the life of the cache. The cache is a film canister. The hide is not designed to be too hard for cachers, just hard for muggles to "muggle" so to speak. Check out the hint....

Hope you have a bit of fun and an enjoyable walk in the area.

As always with my caches, and anywhere in Australia, beware of Snakes. I would think that there would be heaps in this place in warmer months. With parental supervision, i think the kids will have fun with this one, and it is an easy one to introduce them to multi caches with. Just keep an eye on them with the snakes. HAVE FUN.
