Geocache Description:

Boxwood Hill is a small town site, gazetted in 1963, east of Albany on the South Coast Highway. The hall was built in the 1960s with the sports ovals and facilities added as grants became available in later years. Dances were very popular here in the sixties particularly. Overall, though, it appears to be a very active community, especially in the sporting arena, as can be seen from the care taken with the playing fields and amenities. Football and netball are played here regularly with teams travelling long distances from the neighbouring country towns.
The town site consists of the hall, the playing fields and a roadhouse, surrounded by open farming lands.
Enjoy the peace of the area, and please replace cache carefully. You will need your own pen. Have fun!
