Geocache Description:

Cache is located a short uphill walk from a paved rest area and provides a beautiful panoramic view of lake Don Pedro. Cache is located a short distance from a paved trail in a green metal ammo box.

Cache replaced 01/19/03 when we discovered it missing the previous day when we stopped by to add new items and check the condition of the cache. Cache moved about 50' from previous location to reduce chances of discovery by non-Geocache participants. Coordinates represent average of multiple readings spanning 360 degrees around cache, let us know if the coordinates agree with yours. Many new & interesting items placed in cache, stop by and log this cache on your way to Groveland or Yosemite. Several fellow geocachers have noted that this cache is located in the general vicinity where the victims of a murderer were discovered. We are aware of this, and have placed the cache well away from this area. A simple marker with names of the victims is located near coordinates 37 49.89 N 120 21.11 W if you care to visit. We don't know if the marker represents the exact location, or if it was simply a dignified location to place it.
