Zodiac Astrological - Challenge Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

HazMatter: As my good friend retiredprof indicated with his recent archives of all his challenges and in light of geocaching's recent changes to the publishing rules, I am archiving all of my challenge caches. I have two boys and not enough time to learn an entire new rule system. I think maybe geocaching has moved outside of the fun and more to the rules.

I am sad that I have to do this. For those who have already begun any of my challenge caches, please note that you can still log archived caches. If you have any problems with this decision, please contact the geocaching authorities so that your suggestions may be considered.
Cheers
T

Geocache Description:

The above coordinates ARE the location of
the cache. However, to log this cache as a find you must
meet the “Challenge” requirements documented below. The
cache is in Suburbia so beware of muggles. Parking is available
nearby you just have to find it.

In astronomy, the zodiac is the ring of constellations that lines the ecliptic, which is the apparent path of the Sun across the celestial sphere over the course of the year. The paths of the Moon and planets also lie roughly within the ecliptic, and so are also within the constellations of the zodiac. In astrology, the zodiac denotes those signs that divide the ecliptic into twelve equal zones of celestial longitude. As such, the zodiac is a celestial coordinate system, or more specifically an ecliptic coordinate system, taking the ecliptic as the origin of latitude, and the position of the sun at vernal equinox as the origin of longitude. Although the zodiac remains the basis of the ecliptic coordinate system in use in astronomy besides the equatorial one, the term and the names of the twelve signs are today mostly associated with horoscopic astrology. ((HECK when I read this I knew we had to make a Geocaching Challenge out of these things)).

As described above Astrological signs represent twelve equal segments or divisions of the zodiac. According to astrology, celestial phenomena reflect or govern human activity on the principle of "as above, so below". With that the twelve signs are held to represent twelve basic personality types or characteristic modes of expression. There are sun signs and moon signs, which both depend on your date of birth.

Empedocles, a fifth century Greek philosopher, identified Fire, Earth, Air, and Water as elements associated with the Astrological signs. He explained the nature of the universe as an interaction of two opposing principles called love and strife manipulating the four elements. He stated that these four elements were all equal, of the same age, that each rules its own province, and each possesses its own individual character. Different mixtures of these elements produced the different natures of things. Each sign is associated one of the classical elements (water, fire, earth and air.) Fire and Air signs are considered positive or extrovert, masculine signs; while Water and Earth signs are considered negative, introvert, feminine signs. These signs relate to the Zodiac below:

Fire signs (Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius)
Earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn)
Air signs (Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius)
Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces).

There are also three groups of four signs of Quality. They are:

Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn)
Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius)
Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces).

Here are the requirements to log this cache. Your job is to find at least 12 different caches with Zodiac Astrological Signs or what it represents in the name of the cache. You can use EITHER the Name of the Astrological sign or what the sign represents. However, you can only use one to fill the “Astrological” slot. For example, if you choose to use a cache with Scorpio in the title then you cannot use another one with Scorpion in the title to count as two different caches. You must have all twelve Astrological signs represented to meet the Challenge.

In addition to finding 12 different Zodiac Astrological Signs or Representations please find at least (5) different types of caches or categories (icons) when posting your finds. (Traditional, Multi, Unknown, Letterbox, Web, Virtual, Events. etc). This gives the challenge that extra star boost to the difficulty.

The Twelve Zodiac Astrological Signs and Representations you can choose from are:

ARIES (RAM), TAURUS (BULL), GEMINI (TWINS), CANCER (CRAB), LEO (LION), VIRGO (MAIDEN), LIBRA (SCALES), SCORPIO (SCORPION), SAGITTARIUS (ARCHER or CENTAUR), CAPRICORN (SEA GOAT), AQUARIUS (WATER CARRIER), PISCES (TWO FISH).
You may use the plural of the Zodiac name and representation. You have no time limit on finding the caches. In fact, you may have already completed the cache requirements. But, if you haven’t… now you have some target caches to find.
When logging this cache, list your requisite caches on the cache page with the cache name, gc#, date found, and type of cache as identified below:
