Guanyin lures you

GUANYIN

The statue in the corner is Guanyin associated with compassion as venerated by East Asian Buddhists. The name Guanyin means “observing the sounds or cries of the world” and is considered the watchful protector of children.

All the stones and bricks in this art display are recycled from Seattle’s streets and were rescued from going into a landfill. The granite slabs were the curbs and gutters and the bricks and cobbles were the paving.

The owners have graciously given permission for the placement of this cache and, as with all private property, look but don’t touch the artwork or statuary. Some of it is very fragile. The cache is accessible and reachable from the sidewalk. Be sure to check out the cobble stone wall and it's "found art" before you leave the area.

A spin glo and two glass beads were left in the cache.
