Geocache Description:


In 1882 this area was Gazetted Reserve for the Grazing of Police Horses. It has since 1968 been a gazetted Reserve for Recreational purposes with several walks throughout. Birdwatching hides are established and numerous species of birds are found in attendance. Well worth bringing binoculars for an outing. Cache is a small to micro size - Blitz Mints tin, hidden close to track. Be aware that in wet weather, the soil in this area turns to glue, stick to the formed road surfaces when wet or get bogged. In summer be mindful of snakes. . I never worked in Mounted section in a past life, they had no rocking horses but Horses have played a major role in Policing right across Australia for many years. Should be an easy find,
