Geocache Description:

Don't pay the ferryman

The Birdsville Track has been cut again at the Coopers Creek. To get to the other side the SA government has provided a punt. The trip is a once in a generation experience, 1974, 1990, 2010. Miss it and you may have to wait another 20 years. For further details visit the following link. (visit link)

The cache is located on the northern side of the creek. Please check road conditions and follow the safety practices for outback travel. Your vehicle should be properly prepared with suitable spares, food and water.
