--->Congratulations Hugh (68TR250) on FTF! I'm so glad it was you!<---
You are looking for a 35mm film canister. It should be hidden slightly by natural material. Bring your own pen. Please rehide as found.
The pond at this location was once a public swimming area with a beach, bath house, and diving board. Shanna English, curator of the Barnesville Old Jail Museum and Archives, said that the American Legion built the swimming area in the 1920's and she thinks it stayed open until the early 1950s, when the pool was built in town. The lady at the Barnesville library said she remembered it being open when she was a teenager. She said it closed due to many problems, one of which was snakes in the water. Good reason! Mrs. English said she has a picture of the Amercian Legion Swimming 'Pool' at the museum.
I am dedicating this cache, one of my first hides, to 68TR250 who has been a wonderful mentor to me and is the guru of caching in this area. This one's for you, Hugh! Thanks for everything!
