Peter Hope Lake was my home for a few years. The house was on the second island. It was log in the main and had panabode style additions on the front and the rear. In the spring the water lapped practically under my bedroom window. For a 17 year old boy it was a glorious place to live, hunting and fishing right outside my front and back doors and nothing but silence at night.
Travel out of Merritt on the old highway out past Nicola Ranch, Quilchena and the Guichon Ranch. turn right onto Peter Hope Road. It is all dirt from here. Stay on this road until you reach a "Y" fork. Take the left hand fork. Peter Hope is just ahead. Enjoy!
