The Quilchena Hotel was built in 1908 to take advantage of the CPR running past its doors. However, the railroad never did come this far. After 10 years the hotel was closed. After 40 years it was renovated and reopened in all its grandeur and it remains in business today.
Travel out on the old highway from Merritt towards Kamloops. The Hotel is unmistakable.
