Geocache Description:

Mrs. Hooper was born here 90 years ago and she remembers hearing the train whistle and running or biking with siblings and friends down the lane in Collettville to cross the bridge and stand and wave at the engineer and others on the train as it went by. No one else seemed to remember the bridge but a check of the site plan maps for Merritt in 1912 definitely show it.

There is no sign of the bridge now, but Mrs. Hooper says it was just the same as the old bridge at Voght Park, wooden, single lane and arched.
