Geocache Description:

This barn is old. In fact no one remembers it not being here, not even Morva Murray who lived here on her family's property for many years.

Buildings like this one are being taken down at a great rate in the present day. It is really too bad. If you go traipsing around in the bush near Merritt and the Thompson/Nicola region you will find many examples of lost and forgotten homesteads and you will realize that there is a lot of our history that was not tied to the town and cities that are here today. When you consider where these people lived and that there was no electricity or running water or motorized transportation their lives become even more intriguing.
