Meeting/Event
Please make plans to attend the September event
for a group hike. We'll pass a nostalgic geocache along the
way.
The hike in is an easy 1.2 miles over mostly level terrain. Once
you get to some gorgeous areas, however, the terrain changes
drastically. You do not have to hike in order to attend the event.
If you do hike, however, please note that children must be
accompanied by a responsible adult.
Our co-sponsors, the Coosa Valley Cachers, will provide a home-made
lunch/snack for you to either carry on the hike or save for
afterward. The snack will consist of your choice of PB&J
sandwich or turkey&cheese sandwich, plus a bag of chips and a
chocolate chip cookie. Please note your preference (one snack pack
per hiker, please) in your "will attend" log. Lunch orders are
closed so that our chefs can shop and prep the food.
In addition to GC76 you will also have the opportunity to find and
log at least one more traditional cache and one earthcache along
the way. We're looking forward to seeing you there!
Please note: As the focus of this meeting is on
the hike and finding GC76, there will be no "door prize" drawing at
this event. Thanks for your understanding.
