Geocache Description:

Situated in the heart of the bustling metropolis that is Buckna this cache is a nice easy micro cache that you won't have to walk a long distance to get to.

The cache is a small plastic tube with a green lid. Inside is a role of paper to log your entry into the cache. WARNING - PLEASE BRING A PENCIL as there is not room for one in the cache.

There are two church car parks very close to the cache site. Take your time to look around Buckna - there are some interesting petrol pumps from an old disused petrol station up the road.

I'm also interested in the origins of the name Buckna, as it has reached near timbuktu status in this part of Antrim. So far the closest I've got is 'Bocsnamha" which could mean a sort of swimming pool as Gaeilge which would relate to the nearby small river. However, if anyone has any information on its origins I would love to find out more.
