Geocache Description:


When the original North Star Branch grade was constructed in 1899/1900 there were several areas between Cranbrook and Kimberley that created problems for the engineers. There were water crossings, rockslides, solid rock faces, and forest areas to contend with. The engineers were grateful when they found that some of the grade construction was relatively easy. This was the situation with this part of the route out of Cranbrook.

As this is an easy section of the grade I decided to make an exceptionally easy cache to find, and placed it here. Some people have suggested I have a somewhat perverse mind when I construct some of my puzzle caches and I have emails and phone calls to prove it.

Well, this cache is different. It is planned to be the easiest geocache to find on the North Star Trail. Any cacher who is unable to find this cache by themselves, without hints, will find that their names are forwarded to our local optometrist and they will also immediately have their names removed from my Facebook Friends Page. If you also expect flashing lights to herald this cache placement then you should go to Las Vegas to do your caching. However, listen carefully as you approach Ground Zero and you should find yourself being heralded with a small drum roll. Without the drum roll you are unlikely to find this easy cache.
