Welcome to West Kelowna Traditional Cache
TedandSue: Cache has been muggled and the area has become a place often occupied by hobos. When they are there it doesn't feel safe.

This cache is located close to Highway 97 in West Kelowna
The area to the west side of Okanagan Lake, after crossing the bridge from Kelowna, used to be called Westbank, and was managed by the Provincial Government. However, in a referendum on June 16, 2007, residents voted to incorporate a new municipality.
In November of 2008, residents had the opportunity to indicate by ballot that their first choice for a name for the new municipality would be West Kelowna This name was approved by the new Council on December 9, 2008.
A sign welcoming visitors to West Kelowna is located alongside Highway 97 on the climb up from the bridge. This cache is located nearby. The container is small, so you will need to take a pen to sign the log, and tweezers would be handy for extracting the log.
It is recommended that this cache be accessed by first traveling to N 49 52.355, W 119 32.720 and finding a parking spot. It is then a short walk to the cache location.
