Geocache Description:

Daisies in Dandenong

Q. What do four daisies, two diamonds, a minaret, a rooster and a Buddha have in common?
A. They are all part of a work of art that can be found along the Dandenong Creek Trail.

Personally, I found this artwork quite inspiring. It raised my spirits and inspired me to look ever upward. I hope that you will have a similar experience. (Mrs PoleCat was also inspired: She was reminded that she needed to put some more chook poo on the flowers when we got home.)

The Challenges:
Challenge 1: Locate the Cache
To find this cache, you must go to the above coordinates where the artwork is located. Look at the artwork and the sign that describes the artwork, then answer questions A to E.

A) How many rivets are there in the blue teardrop-shaped minaret?
B) How many bolts are there in the blue minaret?
C) How many “fish” do you see?
D) How many petals are there in each flower?
E) How many green posts are there?

The cache can be found at the following coordinates:

South 37° AB.ABC’, East 145° D.EAC’

Challenge 2: Retrieve the Cache
Be prepared for a challenge when you retrieve this cache. It may be harder than it seems.
Above all, have a great time.

Challenge 3: Name the Artwork
As far as I can tell, this artwork does not have a name. We thought of a few possibilities, but none seemed quite right. “Quad-Dodeca-Daisies” was a bit too mathematical; “Red Ribbon ‘round the Rooster” was a bit trite and “A Buddha, a Minaret, a Chook, Four Daisies and a Pair of Diamonds” was certainly descriptive, but rather long. Maybe you could think of a better name. If so, please include it in your log.
