The cache is a small cylindrical container, placed on the shores of Lough Muckno. It contains just a log, BYOP. Coordinates are provided for the closest slipway. Parking and picnic tables are at the same location. The cache is large enough for coins and small TBs. The cache was placed using a Kayak and there are no public rights of access to allow you to reach it by land.
n attempting this cache you will need to use a water craft of some description. Please ensure you take all the appropriate safety precautions. The cache is close to the shore and there is an obvious landing point within 15m of the cache coordinates. Watch for iron bars sticking up out of the water near where the wall ends. Given the possibility of damp conditions, take the time to reseal the bag and tighten the container lid. Located on a stretch of shore that is mostly barrier by a low wall, there is a gap in the wall (unfinished or collapsed ?) that allows landing on the shore.
