The cache is a beach safe, placed on a small headland in Lough Muckno. It contains just a log, BYOP. Coordinates are provided for the closest slipway. Parking and picnic tables are at the same location.
The cache is large enough for coins and small TBs. The cache is tied in place and there is no need to release the cache to open it.
In attempting this cache you will need to use a water craft of some description as there is no access from the land side. Please ensure you take all the appropriate safety precautions.
Given the possibility of damp conditions, take the time to reseal the bag and tighten the container lid.
The cache is place about 150m from an old graveyard. It's worth a visit while there to do the cache. You will need to head a few metres inland from the edge of the water. The cache itself is located above an area that can be very soft underfoot. Watch your step (or balance :-D)
It's located well above the normal water level.
