Geocache Description:

Our desire to put more geocaches in the Village of Medina,N.Y. brought us to this spot for our first hide.Placed with permission of the Medina Historical Society Museum.
This house was built in 1841 for Levan Merrit a prosperous mill owner and prominent Medina citizen. The tree lined streets are rich in history including not only one listing in Ripley's Believe It Or Not but 2. Along with Medina sandstone and the Erie Canal this area was home to factories like Birds Eye, Heinz and Fisher Price.
This is a good place to start learning about the Village. More information can be found at www.historicmedina.org.
Cache contains log and pencil and small trades.
FTF there are a couple of small items and bragging rights.
