"Pietrarubbia, deve il suo nome alla particolare colorazione rossastra delle sue rocce: Pietrarubbia sta a significare infatti “petra rubea” (pietra rossa).
Suddiviso nelle due frazioni di Ponte Cappuccini e Mercato Vecchio, il territorio è sovrastato dal borgo di Pietrarubbia Castello, uno dei più antichi del Montefeltro, protetto nei secoli dall’antico castello, esempio di grande interesse del tipo “castello – recinto” e caratterizzato da semplicità ed essenzialità di impianto.
Il borgo, completamente restaurato, rappresenta uno dei paesaggi più suggestivi del Montefeltro. Infatti questo “magnifico sito” incanta con il suo fascino ambiguo, fatto di scorci, balze, valli, sentieri, pascoli, dirupi scoscesi e odori forti. Non a caso grandi artisti come Arnaldo Pomodoro e Tonino Guerra ne sono rimasti affascinati e l’emozione profonda di quell’incontro ha dato luogo ad un vero e proprio innamoramento che ha creato un solido e fecondo rapporto di collaborazione.
Nel borgo del Castello si può visitare la mostra permanente delle sculture realizzate dal Centro T.A.M. (Trattamento Artistico dei Metalli).Il museo delle ceramiche, il museo metallurgico medievale, la chiesa di S. Silvestro con l'Altare e il grande sole bronzeo di Arnaldo Pomodoro."
La cachè, un tapperware blue, è posizionata ai piedi della torre, punto più alto del borgo. Raggiungerla richiede una piacevolissima camminata di 10 minuti.
Riposiziona con cura la cache dopo averla trovata e registrata.

The cache, a blue tapperware, is placed at the foot of the tower, the highest point of the village. To reach it requires a very pleasant walk of 10 minutes.
