This three-stage multi is placed along a pleasant section of the Cabin John Trail north of Bradley Blvd (see parking waypoint). All stages are not very far from the trail, but are placed in what I found to be fun and challenging terrain. The hides themselves are not meant to be overly devious, but that doesn't mean you won't have to look for them. Please use caution while attempting this cache. Heavy rain, ice, snow, loss of feeling to your extremities, or too many jelly donuts for breakfast are not ideal conditions for hunting this one safely.
Stage 1 is a micro and holds the coordinates for Stage 2. It is hidden only a few hundred feet up the trail. It's those last few feet that will test your mettle. There is more than one way to skin this cat, do what you are comfortable with. If you are caching with a buddy, build a case for your better photography skills and offer to document their attempt. Here is a photo hint. Edit: 7/14/18--the tree no longer spans the creek and in now laying along the trail-side creek bank.
Stage 2 is a small container and holds the coordinates for Stage 3. It was a camo-job gone wrong so feel free to have a chuckle at my failed effort. Finding it shouldn't be difficult, once you get to ground zero.
Stage 3 is an ammo can. Boo ya! Please re-hide it well. Here is a photo hint.
Have fun!
