Ma&Pa say thank you to all the wonderful cachers who visited and left a favorite mark they enjoyed watching and meeting everyone that had a good time searching!!! Geocache Description:

Congratulations to CrossedAnchors for FTF !!!!!

Does anyone remember the times you used to line up your pennies on
the railroad tracks (sometimes saving them for weeks just to have
enough) then hiding in the bushes like you were a train robber from
the wild west? Waiting for the rush of the train to blow by so you
could spend the next hour and a half looking for just one smashed
coin and felling pure joy if you found two? Maybe just return home
with a railroad tie instead? I remember those days (one of my many
wonderful childhood memories) Thankfully this cache is not on the
railroad tracks, but it is quite near. There used to be a train
station depot on Rich Road in East Olympia, but it had deteriorated
severely over time, and was little more than a shed in the end.

*The original Union Pacific station at East Olympia was demolished
in the late 1960s. It was used by the pool trains that ran between
Seattle and Portland by all 3 railroads that used the line,
Northern Pacific, Great Northern, and Union Pacific. Amtrak trains
during the 1970s and 1980s used a wooden shelter as East Olympia's
passenger train station, however the station site was remote and
had no public transport, no lighting and a pot-holed gravel parking
lot with a public telephone that rarely worked.*

The trains still rumble by this location about every half hour give or take, so
while your looking for this cache make sure to give a wave at the
next passing Amtrak! Oh ya! this cache is on private property and
we have permission from Ma & Pa, they may be watching. So
if you see them make sure you give them a wave, they know
why your there! They only ask "please no caching this one at night,
and there is no need to go in the the fence" Located on quiet road with pull off parking for 1 car on left side, right side is "railroad property"
