Geocache Description:

Update 3/2/20: I have lived in Michigan now for 8 years. You've found one of the few remaining caches I have left in the Houston area. Replace or update the log as necessary. My first two Park & Go series have gone over pretty well so I decided my third would be a bit more ambitious. I took at look at the map and saw a gaping geocache hole on the southwest side of Houston and decided I had to fix that. The current Houston Chinatown began to expand in the 1990s when Houston-area Asian American entrepreneurs moved their businesses from older neighborhoods, especially the "Old Chinatown" on the eastern end of Downtown Houston (in the process of redevelopment), in a search for more inexpensive properties. In 2005 Christy Chang, a tour operator who operated tours into Chinatown, said "This area is not just Chinatown anymore. If anything, it's Asia Town" due to the presence of various ethnic groups that developed in the community.
