Geocache Description:

The Oak Hill Cemetery in Millersburg is spread over 23 acres, and features graves from pre-Civil War to the present.

Stage 1
The posted coordinates take you to the tombstone for Dr. Bigham, a Civil War surgeon who later opened a medical practice in Millersburg following the war. An interesting tidbit about Dr. Bigham is that we currently live next door to his former residence and office in Millersburg.

Once you locate this tombstone, be sure you're looking at the correct side, since there are several Bighams listed on this stone. While looking at the side for J.G. Bigham, MD, subtract the year he was born from the year he died and then subtract one more. Divide the resulting age in half. If his wife outlived him, add 9 to that number; if he outlived his wife, add 13 to that number. If his wife died in April, double the result. Add a zero to the beginning of this number, and the 3-digit number equals the north ABC coordinate for the final stage.

An interesting tidbit about this tombstone is the epitaph for Mrs. Bigham. What on earth must she have been like or had to put up with to earn such a dreary send-off?

Another interesting tidbit is that the mound near stage 1 is denoted as an Adena ceremonial or burial mound.

Stage 2
N40° 33.142 W081° 54.658.

These coordinates take you to the grave of Jacob Bell. An interesting tidbit about Mr. Bell is that he is the only Holmes County Sheriff ever killed in the line of duty.

Add up the individual digits of the year of his birth. Add up the individual digits of the year of his death. Multiply those two numbers together. In between the dates on his tombstone, there is a symbol/shape. If it is a 6-pointed star, add 304 to the number determined above; if it is a rectangle, add 368 to the number determined above; if it is a circle or any other symbol, add 422 to the number determined above. The resulting 3-digit number is the west XYZ of the final coordinate.

The final cache is located at N40° 33.ABC W081° 54.XYZ
