National Trust Trail - Raintonpark Wood Bonus
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This series of caches will take you on a circular walk around Raintonpark Wood - one of the National Trust’s less well known properties in County Durham. A real hidden gem!
This is the bonus cache, so is NOT AT THE ABOVE CO-ORDINATES. The Correct location is N 54° 48.ABC W 001° 31.XYZ. Find the numbers to replace the letters in the four other National Trust caches hidden in Raintonpark Wood.
Raintonpark Wood has fantastic wildlife and is a really peaceful place to spend a few hours, especially by the river Wear. It has some interesting historical features too. Look out for the cobbled stream. It was built by monks to transport coal mined in nearby Mallygill Wood.
The National Trust is a charity that protects special places in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, for ever, for everyone. Please help us keep Raintonpark Wood special by sticking to the circular path that will take you close to all the caches and by avoiding trampling vegetation.
