The cache is located near the end of the wire on the bank of the old railway bridge. You don't need to get wet or climb over the barbed wire.
Is it an elaborate clothes line? Apparently it's a gauging station for measuring the depth of the river.
This cache was placed by some students of the Maynard School, Exeter, working with the National Trust rangers to produce a beginners' geocache trail around the grounds of Parke.
