Geocache Description:

A quick cache n dash on your way from county to county.

Cache #5 for me, and simply a nice spot that I like.

You are looking for a magnetic micro. Looking at archived caches I found that there used to be one here but it suffered in a way I won't describe but where this one is it shouldn't meet with the same fate or treatment!

It's been out for about a month now for muggle testing and survived so far so it's time to list it! I don't normally have this much patience and restraint but this place does have a variety of muggles in attendance at most times of the day so stealth will be required!

At high tide you will usually find someone fishing, this area is also a popular spot or parking your Saxo or Corsa but the cache is away from where they are.

Bridge history bit coming up ... blah blah ...

The Loughor bridge is a road bridge crossing over the River Loughor, providing a convenient link between much of western Swansea and Llanelli, west Wales. The bridge is part of the A484 road. The road bridge is adjacent to the Loughor railway viaduct. A permanent bridge linking Loughor and Llanelli was first constructed in 1923. Evidence of the old bridge can still be seen on the opposite side to the railway vaiduct; a parapet jutting out into the river which is now a seating area and support foundations can also be seen in the river bed at low tides.

If travelling over the bridge east, you will enter the county of Swansea and South Wales when leaving the bridge. If travelling west, you will enter the county of Carmarthenshire and the West Wales area when leaving the bridge.

When leaving the bridge if heading west, the road signs change from English/Welsh to Welsh/English (Welsh written before English). This is due to the much higher use of the Welsh language in West Wales.

Good old Wikipedia eh? ;-)

If you're coming across the bridge or a caching run in the next county either way this will give you a quick point on the way, there are a few others nearby also so you can get a few finds to boost your day! :) Not that it's about the numbers of course, right?!

Please feel free to add photos, but not spoilers if possible. It's not a difficult cache as it is!! Would be nice to see the people who visit though :)

*** REPLACEMENT CACHE HAS NOW BEEN PLACED IN A SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT LOCATION. IT IS STILL A MKH ;-) ***

Happy caching!
