If attempted on a clear day, your views will be spectacular, all the way from Table Mountain to Gordon's Bay.
This cache is part of the Helderbergplaas Hiking Trail and is hidden next to the Brown trail, about 690 meters above sea level. This cache is above the very top radio mast.
This will make for a great mountain bike or trail run, would be a little tough for young ones.
The starting point of the Hiking Trail is at the Helderberg Farm, turn off the R44 ,between Stellenbosch and Somerset West S34 02.230 E18 49.438. Parking is available at Helderberg farm S34 01.961 E18 50.032, the farm is a great place for young kids to run around and for the family to grab a bite and have a cup of tea.
Buy your Hiking permits from the Helderbergplaas Kiosk. Grab a map of the Hiking Trails. Also be prepared and take necessary warm gear with you.
Admission fees: Adults: R25.00, Children: R16.00 and Senoir Citiznes: R10.00.
