A small camouflaged tube containing logbook and just a few small swaps (not much room!)hidden at the gateway to woodland but just off a side road so suitable for drive-by or part of a longer walk. Parking available at the gate just up from the fork in the road
The hide is at the start of a path through Clough Wood, a privately owned woodland belonging to the nearby firm. Several trails lead through the wood and are popular with local dog walkers - if you are lucky you will see the resident herd of deer (unless they see you first!)
If you are feeling more like a walker than a driver-byer, the path through the wood will lead to you toward Cassy's other two hides or down into Wensley Dale for an even wider range of caches.
The recyling firm behind the wood takes delivery of old car batteries from far and wide and recycles them back to plastic, lead and (I think) gypsum. During the week the road to Darley Bridge is quite busy with lorries so take care if you walk that way.
