Het kasteel van Wijer
Het kasteel van Wijer heeft zwaar geleden door de jaren heen. Van het slot rest enkel nog de vestingtoren met neogotische kantelen, gebouwd in 1657. Zoals de aanpalende hoeve met trapgevels uit 1680, is het herbouwd in Maaslandse renaissancestijl.
Het kasteelcomplex bevindt zich op het grondgebied van drie vroegere gemeentes: het kasteel zelf in Wijer, de hoeve in Kozen en de schuur met bijgebouwen in Stevoort. De grens loopt dwars over de binnenplaats.
