Stepnophobia is the fear of climbing ladders. There are good reasons for a healthy fear of climbing ladders - you might slip and break your gps receiver, for example. Or, in medieval times, the defenders might dump some boiling water on your head. Oh, and be careful not to walk under the ladder.
