The Beach Nearby is Named after the Legendary Mermaid Sirena. To get to the path go to the gate of Sirena Beach and take the trail on the Left. No Worries most cars can go down there without 4WD. Wonder if that is were they got the name for the mermaid in the Last Pirates of the Caribbean Movie
Once upon a time about 100 years ago there was a young girl named Sirena. This young girl liked to swim a lot. She would not do any work or help any one at all. All she would do is think about swimming. Then one day her mom asked her to go get a cup of sugar from her Grandmother. Along the way she saw the beach. She stopped to go swimming and did not think about the time. Her mom got very worried about her and looked out the window and saw Sirena swimming at the beach. Then, Sirena's grandmother appeared and said, "Do you have a wish?" She said "I want Sirena to turn into a fish." Her grandmother then said, "Be careful what you wish for." Then she said," I shall turn your daughter into half fish and half human so she can still talk to you." So her grandmother turned her into a mermaid.
