Geocache Description:

This town, is coming like a ghost town
All the clubs have been closed down
This place, is coming like a ghost town
Bands won't play no more
too much fighting on the dance floor

The Specials 1981

In fact we can't remember a band EVER playing on this 'Ghost' bandstand. ( EDIT Well this was true but now a number of bands play here during the annual Dragon Boat race)
This is one of the funny little areas that make Chatham Maritime an interesting area to explore - at some time somebody thought it would be good to put a great big bandstand here! It's still here!

This is our second cache - the first (visit link) was found within 1 hour of being published - this one will be a bit harder!

The GZ is the middle of the bandstand - the cache is a short stroll away.

Its hidden! It isn't in the basin - you do not need to get wet.

No tools are needed but you will have to use your eyes. It's a small click and lok box.

To find the cache, start in the bandstand and look for a black and white date - is VeRy close.

Once you have found the black and white date give each number of the date a letter in order ABCD (if the date were '1979' then A=1 B=9 C=7 and D=9) - the Longitude you need is 0.D3BAC9° the latitude is 51.403533°

As this is replacement cache 2.

Note to the differently-abled - the terrain is wheelchair accessible - the cache itself is just above ground level.

Congratulations to the FaceyFinders for the FTF!
