We are amateur genealogists as well as geocachers. Our research has taken us to many interesting cemeteries. We have enjoyed the cemetery caches put out by others and decided we would take you to cemeteries where some of our ancestors are buried. Because these cemeteries are connected to our own family tree we thought BRANCHES would be a fitting name for this series.
My great uncle left his home and family in southwestern Ontario in the late 1880’s to come to Sault Ste. Marie to work. My family lost touch with this branch of the family but I was able to track down his burial spot with the help of the internet. As far as I know I am the only family member to visit his grave here in Sault Ste. Marie so I thought I’d put our Branches series here. We hope you enjoy your visit to this large and extremely well kept cemetery.
