Folkenborg i Eidsberg er kjent fra sagaen som stedet der kong Håkon Håkonsson ble født i 1204. Folkenborg museum er formet som et gårdstun med tilhørende husmannsplass. Husene er tilflyttet fra regionen Indre Østfold. Inne i hovedhuset, Narvestadbygningen fra 1724, finner du interiører fra 1700-tallet og fram til 1900. I tillegg til gårdstunet har museet to store spesialsamlinger: Landbrukssamling med traktorer og stasjonærmotorer, foruten hesteredskaper. Omfattende samling av hestevogner og sleder, fra herskapsvogner til enkle kjerrer.

01.06-01.09: Man-fre kl 12-15, søn kl 14-17, stengt lør. Omvisning etter avtale. Museet er for øvrig bemannet hele året, og tilgjengelig etter avtale på telefon 69 89 13 91.

Folkenborg in Eidsberg is known from the saga as the place where the king Haakon Haakonson was born in 1204. Folkenborg museum is like a farm yard with smallholding. The houses are transferd from the region of Indre Østfold. Inside the main house, Narvestad building from 1724, you will find interiors from 1700 until 1900. In addition to the courtyard, the museum has two special collections: Agriculture Collection of tractors and stationary engines, as well as horse equipment. Extensive collection of horse-drawn carriages and sleighs, from luxerious wagons to simple carts.
In the period from 1th of June to 1th of September the museum is open from 12 to 15 on Mon-Fri and from 14 to 17 on Sun. Saturday closed.
Guided tours by appointment. The museum is also staffed all year and available by appointment by phone 69 89 13 91.
