A Geocaching Tale
Shortly after waking up I check my email and see notifications for four new caches in my area. I jump into the shower and then grab a quick breakfast. I down load the new caches and head out, no caching day can be complete without my Tim’s coffee and I am surprised to see only four cars in front of me in the drive thru. I order one large double double and off I go to the first cache. I pull up and think I know where the cache is I check the gps and it agrees with me, it reads two meters in front of me. A quick find but no FTF, so off I go to the next cache.
Eight minutes later my gps beeps letting me know I am approaching GZ; I pull over to the shoulder near the cache. Upon checking my gps I see it’s a micro and it’s only five metres away. Four minutes later I unroll the log and see zero entries and score a FTF so I sign my name and head for the next cache.
Seven kilometers later I arrive at the parking and trail head. It takes me nine minutes to get to the GZ and two minutes to find the cache and another FTF Woo Hoo!
One cache to go I’m on a roll so I rush back to the car and off to the last cache.
Nine minutes later and I find the last cache of the four. Bringing my FTF count of the day to three, it’s been a good day!
The end
